A certain amount of nudist activity takes place in Snaresbrook Woods. In the warmer months there are occasionally guys strolling around naked, mainly at night. There are far more guys likely to be nude sunbathing. If you are interested in nude sunbathing the following details might help you.
1) In good weather it is not unknown for there to be one or two naked guys on The Mound. It’s potentially more likely to be nude cruising than nude sunbathing – there’s not a lot of room.
2) There is a grassy area just below The Mound, towards Snaresbrook Road, which is well-used for sunbathing when the weather is warm. Guys aren’t usually totally naked there.
3) There’s another grassy area where guys sunbathe nude. Some days it is very popular and on others it’s deserted.
If you use what3words the location is something like ///clots.judge.former. But there’s no direct route to it and directions to it using routes through the woods could be misinterpreted and get you to the wrong place. So the following directions, whilst longer than a direct route, should get you there, after which you will know where it is and can choose your own route next time. Here goes…….
On foot, from the Snaresbrook Road car park (don’t forget to pay online for parking – there are regular visits by Parking Attendants), turn left out of the car park and walk along Snaresbrook Road towards the A104 Woodford New Road. You’ll pass a bus stop. Keep going. Don’t be tempted to turn off left along one of several tracks into the woods, yet! Just before you get to the traffic lights there’s a track on the left with a barrier across it. Head along this track.
Walk along the track for about 200m. You are looking out for a path on the right. If you get to a water main marker at the side of the track you’ve gone just a bit too far. Look to your right.
This is the path you need
Head along it.
Veer right where the path forks both ways
And pass either side of a dead tree.
To your right is a grassy clearing where the nude sunbathing occurs.
Strip off, lie back, and enjoy.
Now you know where it is you will probably be able to find a more direct route from the car park next time.
If you use what3words the location is ///clots.judge.former. But aiming to go directly there will mean you heading through a load of brambles and scrub – which won’t be popular with those who don’t want the place opened up. Use the directions and pics above!
ADVISORY. Please note that some sources say that it’s not an offence to be naked in public in England and Wales but it does become an offence if it can be proved the person stripped off with the intention to upset and shock. The complainant has to prove this. Waving your hard cock at an unsuspecting passer-by could get you into trouble. Having your goods on display while you enjoy taking the rays whilst lying on your towel should be ok but it might be wise to have something nearby to use to cover up if you need to. Don’t forget your sunscreen – for all parts of your body! If you should happen to decide to ‘go for a stroll’ when someone pays you some attention there are plenty of places youwill find where you are unlikely to be disturbed, especially towards the main road which you can usally hear. The key is common sense, keeping your witts about you so that you are only seen by like-minded guys, and an understanding that the Forest is a public space also frequented by other legitimate users.
One last thing. This area is one where guys are generally very good at taking their rubbish away with them. Please do likewise. If you really can’t do that please use the rubbish sacks we’ve provided and which we aim to empty regularly. It makes the area more pleasant for everyone.
